Glimmer Mist Fascination Folder

In the first class I took with Heidi Swapp we sprayed Glimmer Mist all over her new line, including the Fascination Folder. I see a couple of design flaws in the album. You surely can quickly make your own should you decide to do so. And of course, maybe it's my job to show you! So first let me show you what I did. Let me just say, if I haven't already, that Victorian style ANYTHING is just not my style. But I had to "Make it Work!" Ok sorry a bit too much Tim Gunn for you.

We used Glimmer Mist of course, but also the Glimmer Screen, Glimmer Glam (not a fan, reminds me of nail polish). We didn't even receive enough Glimmer Mist to finish the project. So I came home and changed the color scheme to give it a bit of pop. Plus I added way more to it. There's Creative Imaginations epoxy stickers (3 full sheets), Basic Grey (Sophie) fibers, rubons, Prima of course, and a sheet of 3d CI stickers. I know I will embellish more should I decide to use the album for Riley's photos. Overall I'm happy with the creative process but this doesn't quite fit my style. . . if I even have one.

Destashing!

I have noticed that my fabric scraps have been taking over. The last layout I published was using the fabric from the skirt you had already seen when Riley and I went to sign up for kindergarten. I actually started this layout and realized that I didn't have a photo of her in the skirt. So I pushed it aside and made the other. I used Prism cardstock and the Heidi Grace (I think it was) fabric from the underskirt. Then I had random felt embellishments from Daiso, Maya Road, and Oriental Trading. I used a few shades of Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Screens as well as Distress Inks. Nothing complicated, just a bunch of glue dots.

This other layout is Making Memories, Maya Road, Little Davis, Sassafras, and We R Memory Keepers with a bit of Papyrus butterflies.
